Mark Hart is a lifelong Terrace artist whose work is deeply inspired by the landscapes and outdoor life of Northern British Columbia. An avid angler and outdoorsman, Mark draws creative energy from the rivers, forests, and rugged beauty of the region he calls home.
Formally trained in art schools in both Canada and England, Mark brings technical excellence and versatility to his practice. While many recognize him for his striking airbrushed hockey goalie masks for leagues such as the NHL and WHL, his artistic range also includes graphic illustration, watercolour, oils, and pencil work.
Blending his passion for fishing and the outdoors with his love of painting, Mark’s collection celebrates the spirit and scenery of the North.
Be sure to check out the display next time you are at the theatre.
The REM Lee Theatre Mezzanine Gallery offers 78 feet of continuous wall space equipped with a professional STAS gallery hanging system, a modular picture rail system trusted in galleries and museums for flexible, secure, and damage-free art display. STAS systems use discreet rails with adjustable cables or rods that allow you to reposition and rearrange work quickly without tools or new holes in the wall, and they support a wide range of artwork sizes and weights while keeping the focus on the art itself.
The R.E.M. Lee Theatre hosts a wide range of programming, including concerts, dance, theatre, and film. The theatre also acts as one of the primary venues for the annual Pacific Northwest Music Festival.
